i bought refrigerator about 3 years ago. the ice maker failed after 9 months and i am very disappointed. recently, my son come home and he told me to contact samsung. samsung doesn't response because the refrigerator is out of warrantee. lately, i found down online, it is the design defect by samsung but they didn't want to response.

we were very excited when we made this purchase even though it was ine if the mist expensive refrigerators in the store. the only feature thag has consistently worked is the soarkling water. it has failed us on multiple occasions over the ost 4 years. we have list count of how many times we have had it repaired and now its not cooling and we are waitjbg 5 days for a service call while we try and keep our food from spoiling. the shelves sre peeling, it leaks water from the ice maker that has been repaired 4 times already. im sorry samsung, but this is not a $5000 refrigerator. now it wont cool tbe main compartment beliw 53 degrees. the main board has been replaced as well and it still consistenlly fails us. enough is enough. we need you to make this right samsung.

Refrigerator purchased 4/17. Ice maker problems began ~1 year ago. Just had repair done-jury still out on whether or not this issue has been resolved. Multiple other issues with refrigerator: 1. mold on both upper door gaskets. 2. water dispenser no longer working. 3. chrome handle peeling on left upper door. I will never buy another Samsung product of any kind, ever. I will advise all acquaintances to do likewise. This is not the reliability I would have expected for a high-end product from what i considered to be a reputable company. Samsung-never again!

i love the configuration of my samsung chef collection (rf24j9960s4) refrigerator! what i do not love: the ice maker - being replaced for the second time because ice clogs on the right side of ice maker. what i don't love is the large shelf trim began to bubble and peel and i am told this is not a warranty item. its defective! the other shelves are fine. what i don't love is the fixed drip tray under the removable drip tray has trapped water under it and mold is present! this is ridiculous for a refrigerator that otherwise is such high quality. very disturbing that there is no way to get this mold out from under this fixed tray. help samsung!!

Ice Maker SUCKS!!!!!!

Bought this unit and after about 6 months the ice maker started having problems freezing up and not dropping the ice. After 3 years of having to take an ice pick every couple of weeks and break up the ice to get it unfrozen, I contacted Samsung. Their solution was to unplug the unit for 3 hours to let it defrost. Really!!!!!!!!!! that is your solution to fixing this $5000 unit!!!!!!!!!! Read the reviews on their ice makers. All you find is horrible experiences and they told me they can find any complaints.

Purchased this product as we were looking for the largest possible capacity in a counter depth refrigerator. The Samsung was the largest. We just loved the style of the Chef collection, much more stylish than the regular Samsung, albeit more expensive. Other french door refrigerators do not even come close to the capacity and style of this one. Love the carbonated water feature. Love the flex capability of the refrigerator. The LED display on the refrigerator is so coo and Hi-Tech! We also bought the Chef collection induction range.

Chic, sleek and designer features look amazing in my built in

I love this fridge less the limited space compared to previous fridges I've had but I had a limited built in space to fit. I chose it because of its chic and designer look and the added convenience of the FlexZone that I use for beverages due to the limited space in the fridge for them. It works out great and the FlexZone is THE reason I purchased this vs other counter depth models and designs. I also love the flush door handles to lessen the footprint of the depth so it remains smooth and sleek and a true built in finish. I get compliments all the time for the chic design and the star display never fails to impress. I purchased Top Grille trim kit to give it that true built in look and it's truly spectacular

PROS: I was fortunate to get this Fridge at such great price thanks to LOWES. I love the option of using the bottom right as a fridge/freezer. I have only needed it as a fridge and it keeps my beer cold. The chef pantry is excellent for more than marinating meats. Its a great place to store leftovers and cheeses. I love the 4 DOOR DESIGN,, the LED LIGHT TOWERS, RETRACTABLE SHELVES and the MARINATING PANS which can fit under a couple of shelves. I have 3 thermometers. One in the chef pantry, the main fridge is set at 35 degrees and the chef pantry holds between 30 and 32 degrees. I have a thermometer in freezer which is set at 1 degree and holds at -3 and one in the freezer/fridge compartment which is set at 30 degrees and holds at 30 degrees. I'm very satisfied that it holds temperature as well as it does and how quickly it can cool back down if a door is left open .The ice maker works great even though the ice is cloudy and softer than normal ice but I like the ice. The reason the ice is cloudy is because the water used for the ice has been filtered which adds oxygen to the ice which makes better tasting ice.. The water dispenser works great and can put out 32 oz. of chilled water. I have not used or installed the soda stream. CONS: I live in an high humidity region of the country and if the FREEZER door is ajar at all then the freezer will start freezing up within 30 minutes and start icing within 1 hour. EVEN WITH THE DOOR ALARM SET, THE ALARM DOESN'T START CHIMING FOR 2 OR 3 MINUTES. SO, IF NO ONE IS IN THE KITCHEN THE ALARM WILL NOT BE HEARD. BE SURE TO KEEP ALL THE DOORS CLOSED. SOMETIMES YOU MAY THINK ITS SHUT AND IT CAN BE SLIGHTLY AJAR. I recommend getting a stainless steel model that is SMUDGE PROOF if one is available. Because the doors will catch every fingerprint you can smudge on it. If you want to keep it looking nice be sure to keep a bottle of GLASS CLEANER AND PAPERTOWELS nearby.

We ordered the "Chef Collection" site unseen. No dealer had one in stock except for the Family Hub models. We got the stainless steel unit and it is absolutely beautiful. We're still learning how to use it since we've only had it a couple days. I love it though. It has 2 compressors and it is the quietest refrigerator I have ever had. That's a great quality. I love that we can make the lower right section into either a freezer or fridge and adjust the temperatures to whatever we put in there. We are very impressed with the unit.

I must have got a "lemon."

I love the refrigerator, but lots of problems: 1. Ice maker failed 2. Water leak by dispenser 3. Electronic mother board and two other boards need replacing I have had the refrigerator about 9 months, and it has been used about 6 months and all of these things happened. I have been working with Samsung for almost 1 month and it is still not repaired although it is under warranty. Very sad story!

Needed a counter depth refrig and wanted drawers and this one fit the bill. The chef pantry in the refrigerator section sold me. Its where I keep cheeses, cold cuts etc. The Veggie bins are roomy and you don't need to open both doors to access them. The sparkling water dispenser was not a requirement but could prove useful since we buy a case of sparkling water a week. Could save some money. It's slightly smaller in size than my old frig but I believe it will be functional. The door shelves for condiments is very limited but I'll just have to cull out all unnecessary jars. I believe the flex freeze will be used as fresh frig around the holidays when we entertain regularly. Our old unit was 27 years old and was noisy. This one is much quieter and doesn't seem to exhaust as much heat into the kitchen which is important in the summer in Tucson.

Great Refrigerator

After doing extensive research, we bought this refrigerator and we love it. By far the best fridge we've owned! Sparkling water feature has become the favorite of everyone in the house. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy a new fridge. We bought the fridge through a local vendor and the delivery crew didn't know how to align the doors correctly. We had to call Samsung to come out to fix it, which the technician did in 3 minutes! If we had to buy this fridge again, we would buy through Samsung directly so we don't have to deal with 3rd party vendor who are not familiar with Samsung products.

This product has great features and design

Small from the outside, lots of space in the inside. With the sleek design doors ( no handles) to the display through the door panel sets Samsung ahead of the competition . Has the ability to pick 3 different temperatures or make part of the freezer part of the refregirator and to top it of, it make carbonate water.
